Boutt helps people in Lahore, Pakistan find others to play sport with. To do that we need some information about you, such as your name and roughly where you are. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. It applies to the Boutt app and to our website, www.boutt.fit.
The short version
- We collect what is needed to run the app: your account, your profile, your location while you use the app, the games you join, and your messages.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not show third-party ads in the app.
- Your exact location is never shown to other players. They see the venue of a game and how far away it is.
- Our usage analytics and crash reports are kept on our own servers, not given to an analytics company.
- You can delete your account from the app at any time, and your data is removed with it.
What we collect
Information you give us

| Website sign-ups | If you join the waitlist on our website we collect your name, email address, city, the sports you play and, if you choose to give it, your phone number. If you register a venue as a partner we collect the venue name, your name, phone number, area, what the venue has and any notes you add (email is optional). We use these only to contact you about Boutt, and we do not use them for advertising. |

Information collected when you use Boutt
| Location | With your permission, your device's location while you use the app, to show games and venues near you. We save your most recent location on your profile so nearby results work. You can turn location access off in your device settings and pick an area on the map instead. |
| Device and app | Device type and operating system, app version, and a push notification token if you allow notifications. |
| Usage and crash data | Events such as opening the app, signing up, creating or joining a game, and error reports when the app or our servers fail. Before you sign in, these are linked to a random ID stored on your device, not to you. |
| Server logs | IP address, request time and the page or API called, kept for security and troubleshooting. |
We do not collect contacts, photos other than the one you choose as your profile picture, health data, or payment card details. Court booking and payments are not available yet; we will update this policy before they are.
How we use it
- To run Boutt: create your account, show games and venues near you, let you host and join games, and deliver messages and notifications.
- To keep the community safe: review reports, enforce our community guidelines, and prevent spam, abuse and fraud.
- To secure accounts: for example, emailing you a code when you reset your password.
- To improve Boutt: understand which features are used, find where people get stuck, and fix crashes.
- To contact you about your account, replies to your feedback, and important changes to these policies.
We use your information because it is needed to provide the service you asked for, because you consented (for example to location and notifications), or because we have a legitimate interest in keeping Boutt safe and working well.
What other players see
- Your name, profile photo, bio, sports and play stats (games played, reliability).
- The games you host or have joined, and your messages in chats you are part of.
- Your phone number only if your setting allows it.
- If you turn off “Public profile”, other players cannot find you in search.
Your email address and exact location are never shown to other players.
How long we keep it
- Account, profile, games and messages: until you delete your account.
- Usage and crash data: deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Website sign-ups (waitlist and venues): kept until we have contacted you about launch, or until you ask us to delete them by emailing [email protected].
- Password reset codes: expire after 1 hour.
- Feedback and reports: kept while needed to handle them and to protect the community. If you delete your account, they are no longer linked to it.
- Server logs and backups: removed on a rolling basis, normally within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correct: view and edit your profile at any time in the app.
- Delete: delete your account in Profile → Settings → Delete account, or follow these steps. This removes your account and the data linked to it.
- Get a copy: email [email protected] and we will send you a copy of your data within 30 days.
- Location and notifications: turn these off any time in your device settings.
- Visibility: hide your profile from search and control who sees your phone number in Settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law. Contact us and we will help.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if you find a problem, please tell us through our security policy.
Age requirement
Boutt is for people aged 16 and over, because it involves meeting other players in person. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child is using Boutt, contact [email protected] and we will remove the account.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For important changes we will also tell you in the app before they take effect.
